Contents
- Part i of this manual gives an overview of the
MODULEF club and the capabilities of the MODULEF library.
- Part ii starts with a general description of the
finite element method, after which a detailed account of how to use
the MODULEF software is given, specifying which modules to use, and
finally, six test examples (benchmarks) are presented to familiarize
the user with the available processors and modules.
- Part iii of this manual is devoted to the MODULEF
installation procedure on UNIX, as well as non-UNIX machines.
- The appendices corresponding to parts i, ii
and iii are found at the end of this user guide, just
before the bibliography:
- Appendix A lists the main modules present
in the MODULEF library.
- Appendix B lists the preprocessors
available, in a logical and alphabetical order. The correspondence
between the preprocessors and the keywords adopted by the general
purpose processor, TOUTXX, is given at the end.
- Appendix C illustrates how to use the
procedure data base to extract information related to the structure
and organization of the MODULEF library.
- Appendix D lists the installation
procedure on UNIX machines.
- Appendix E lists the libraries in the
appropriate order for linking.
- Appendix F contains the list of
graphic peripherals available.
- Appendix G contains a listing of the
command file prf_f3d.
- Appendix H gives examples of files
.profile and .cshrc.
- Notation: The notation adopted throughout this user
guide, except in the part devoted to the installation on UNIX
machines, is as follows : the names of all modules, processors and
data structures are written in capitals in order to clarify the
text. However, the actual filenames will appear in lower-case in
your directories. This distinction is important when working on a
UNIX system as it is case-sensitive.
