Marie-Curie Project:

Requirements-aware Systems ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it )

People: Nelly Bencomo, Valerie Issarny.

This project uses the novel notion of requirements reflection, that is, the ability of a system to dynamically observe and reason about its requirements. The project aims to address the need of having systems requirements-aware by reifying requirements as run-time

objects (i.e. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). This project will contribute towards development of conceptual foundations, engineering techniques, and computing infrastructure for the systematic development of dynamically-adaptive systems based on the principle of requirements reflection.

The main research questions I am investigating are:

- How to represent requirements as runtime objects so that the requirements are amenable to introspection and adaptation?

- How to relate runtime requirements decisions to changes in the softwar architecture?

The 24-month project started in May 2011 and should be finished by May 2013.
