Tumour interface: beta-catenin distributionbeta catenin is known to be an important protein involved in cancer invasion. Malignant tumours show high concentration of soluble beta-catenin at the outer rim (orange) than in the central core (red).

E-cadherin-beta-catenin
E-cadherin-beta-catenin interactions play a key role in cancer invasion and epithelial mesenchymal transition. Motivated by its influence in cell-cell adhesion, the dynamics of this pathway depend strongly on the biophysical properties of the cell.

To approach this problem, a mathematical hybrid multi-scale forced-based model, provides a good frame to include all the main variables.
