INRIA collaboration

The thematic must be done in close cooperation with the IDOPT project. The complementarity of IDOPT is on one hand methodological (methods for optimal control are important in IDOPT objectives) and on the other and applicative (IDOPT being not or less implied in atmospheric applications).

Note that our specificities w.r.t. IDOPT:

• at academic level, emphasis is given to the problematic of measure networks (how define an ``optimal'' measure network for an assimilation system ?),
• ``tropism'' at the applicative level,
• at a technical level, we have expertise of the modeling chain, up to projects realization, beyond methodologic aspects.

There are already many collaboration with IDOPT (common PhDs, organization of PNLA school on data assimilation in Geosciences in march 2002, the COMODE ARC, ACI Assimage).
