Type 1 processors require little data. they are activated in the following manner:

1. start execution;
2. enter the data (via a set of questions-responses);
3. direct execution of the module.

The example IMAGXX, which activates the plotting module that requires the contents of a D.S., is an example of a preprocessor of type 1 seen previously.
