Introduction

This part of the user guide describes the contents of the DS and the tools associated with them. (creation and manipulation).

The following types of DS are described:

AMAT :
assembled matrix - compact storage,
ATRI :
full upper-triangular matrix,
B :
assembled right-hand-side (RHS) or vectors (solutions, residuals, ...),
BDCL :
description of the constraints imposed by the boundary conditions,
COOR :
coordinates of the mesh points (nodes),
FORC :
description of the data required for the computation of the RHS,
GEOM :
geometric type description of a 3D mesh,
MAIL :
topology and interpolation of the mesh elements,
MILI :
description of the data required for the computation of the matrices,
MPLR :
description of the referenced boundaries,
MUA :
assembled matrix - skyline storage,
NDL1 :
pointer to the degrees of freedom per node,
NOPO :
mesh,
TAE :
element arrays corresponding to each element,
TYNO :
description of each node type,
VVPR :
eigenvalues and eigenvectors.

Remark: The concepts required for a good understanding of the notion of a DS have already been presented in this user guide and are assumed to be known.
