6.3 Matrix profiles TRPRXX

Preprocessor TRPRXX is used to plot the skyline of a MUA type matrix, skyline storage, or a AMAT type matrix, compact storage.

The plot consists of placing a small cross (or square) at each coefficient position of a non-zero value. This positions are determined using the row and column indices of the coefficients.

Remark:
The visualized objects (matrices) are considered a priori as not deformable.

The menu of TRAKOU (module called in this case) is given below:

 ------------------------------------------------------------
 | 11 | DEVICE NUMBER | 1
 ------------------------------------------------------------
 | 20 | FILE CONTAINING THE D.S. | t2mua
 ------------------------------------------------------------
 | | LINES'S EXTREMA | 0.0000000 370.0000
 ------------------------------------------------------------
 | 21 | EXTREMA FOR X AXIS | 0.0000000 370.0000
 ------------------------------------------------------------
 | | EXTREMA OF COLUMNS | -370.0000 0.0000000
 ------------------------------------------------------------
 | 21 | EXTREMA FOR Y AXIS | -370.0000 0.0000000

 | 30 | PLOT SIZE | AUTO

 | 40 | SYMBOLS USED | CROIX
 ------------------------------------------------------------
 | 60 | GENERAL LEGEND | YES
 ------------------------------------------------------------
 | 81 | LINE THICKNESS | 1
 ------------------------------------------------------------

A default value is proposed for each option. The above table lists the selections made automatically. Type 0 to obtain a plot.

A key (a number) and a status correspond to each item. To modify the status, it suffices to type the key and enter the values corresponding to the status desired (see the general introduction). The list of keys is given below:

Key 11:
the device number.
Key 20:
the name of the file containing the matrix. To change the file, we activate this key and input the new file name.
Key 21:
the extrema of he object and plot. The extrema of the object are none other than the number of rows and columns in the matrix. The automatic plot therefore plots the profile by starting at the first row (column) and by going to the last row (column). By activating this key, it is possible to plot only a part of the matrix (i.e. zoom).
Key 30:
the plot will be full screen, otherwise the user must specify the size in cm.
Key 40:
the type of symbols plotted: CROIX (by default) if crosses are desired. by activating this key, small squares are obtained.
Key 60:
the general legend (there is a legend by default) corresponds to the indications appearing to the right of the plot (see examples: title, date, file name, ...). By typing 60, the user indicates that no legend is required.
Key 81:
the thickness of the symbol lines: 1 by default.

Once a plot is displayed on the screen, a graphics menu appears which is analogous to that of TRACXX, to which the user is referred.

Example:
An example of a plot of the skyline of a matrix is given in figure 6.1. It corresponds to the stiffness matrix of considered in test 2 in [MODULEF User Guide - 2], stored in the form of a skyline matrix in a D.S. MUA.

The plot was obtained by typing the following sequence:
