3.1 Introduction

It is possible to visualize two-dimensional, surface and three-dimensional meshes. The contents of each mesh is read from file, stored in the form:

• of a NOPO data structure if it corresponds to a two-dimensional mesh, or
• of a NOPO or GEOM data structure in the case of a three-dimensional mesh. If a NOPO type data structure is input, it is converted into a GEOM type data structure. Consequently, and in certain cases to save time, it can be of interest to perform the conversion oneself by using preprocessor NOPGXX.

The modules are able to process several meshes (or files) until such a time as the memory available is saturated. Numerous possibilities are offered to:

• define the observation conditions,
• define what the user wants to plot: the type of plot, the numbers which must appear on the screen,
• etc.

Preprocessor TRNOXX or REFEXX will be employed (see also TRMCXX or TRC3XX due to the utilization limits of TRNOXX).

TRNOXX is described in section 2.2 for the two-dimensional case, and in section 2.3 for the three-dimensional case. REFEXX is described in section 2.4.
